My experience at TJC was undoubtedly the best time of my life. It was scary at first, branching out into a new environment, alone no less. High School was but a distant memory now and I had to make new friends from scratch, not to mention the work. Unlike high school, I was in charge of keeping up with my homework, which did take some getting used to. But the college environment really allowed me to branch out and experience things that I'd never in a million years think I'd experience. I made lots of friends and got to see what true college life is like, it felt like I was at a 4 year University, because I was able to meet people that elevated that initial experience. Yeah, the parties and the girls were cool too. Campus living was pretty nice as well, I sorta built a bond with my dorm room since I've been living in the same room for four semesters straight. Of course, it wasn't perfect, there were lots of ups and downs, but I wont forget about my time at TJC for a good while.

TJC is just alright. It's a good enough starting point for those who aren't quite sure what they want to do yet or those who want to go for a cheaper education. People on campus are friendly and most professors do their jobs well and are willing to help. There are a lot of clubs to join which is nice. One of the biggest complaints others and myself have with TJC is the quality of and cleanliness of the dorms. They aren't clean when you arrive, the hallways are never cleaned, and certain months of the year cause bug infestations.

I personally really enjoyed the campus and the professors I've had. There's a lot of opportunity for growth here with the academic advisors always willing to help. The classes I've taken so far have been good, my professors have been very helpful and thorough so I'm never left questioning what I've learned nor feeling lost. Great environment, great people, and affordable as well.
