ALL, MRS. RAYMOND A. SMART BANGOR Edna Madelene Smart, 62, of Bangor, died March 17, 1984, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Eddington, July 11, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Sumner) Rowe. She was employed at the Penobscot Hotel, Husson College and retired in 1982 from City of Bangor, Airport Terminal.

She was al member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, No. 3177. Ladies Auxiliary of Brewer. Surviving besides her husband, Raymond A. Smart of Bangor are two doughters, Charlene Hamel of Westbrook and Rebecca "Becky" Libby of Brewer; tour grandchildren, Lonny G.

Bob was born at Houlton, Aug. 27, 1911, the only son of J. Chester and Gertrude (Weeks) Feeley. He gradueted from St. Mary's Academy in 1924, Houlton High School in 1928, University of Maine in 1932 Boston University School of Medicine in 1936.

1 He served as intern at Somerville Hospital and was on assistant physician at the Norfolk Prison Colony Hospital. He spent two years on the third surgical service at the Boston City Hospital and in 1938 and 1939. was the first resident at the Eastern Maine General Hospital. In 1949 and 1951, he spent two years on the urological service at West Roxbury Veteran's Hospital. He was a staff member for many years at the Eastern Maine Medical Center and St.

Joseph Hospital and was a consultant at Dow Air Force Base Hospital, Mount Desert Island Hospital, Blue Hill Memorial Hospital and Castine Hospital. He semi-retired in 1976 and moved to Sedgwick but returned to Brewer in July 1981. He served from 1977 to 1982 with the disability determination service of Social Security as a medical consultant. He was a member of Theta Chi and Alpha Kappa Kappa fraternities: past president of the Penobscot County Medical Association; member of the Maine and American Medical Associations; New England Section American Urological Associations; Americon College of Surgeons and was a charter member of the Bangor Medical Club. He administered the first successful spinal and sodium pentothal anesthesias in Bangor and was one of the last to do surgical procedures and obstetrical deliveries in the home.

He was a member of the Bangor City Club, Penobscot Valley Country Club and Tarratine Club for several years. He was much interested in outdoor sports, including baseball, football, hunting, fishing and skiing and was a member of the Atlantic Salmon Association and Penobscot and Eddington Salmon Clubs. He served in the medical corps of the U.S. Army with the 67th General Hospital as captain and major from 1942 to 1946. He participated in the assult stage on Omaha Beach in Normandy as senior surgeon on L.S.T.

No. 512 and later on No. 515. He was awarded two battle stars, the Bronze Arrowhead for initial assult forces and a certificate of merit from Lt. General John C.H.

Lee. He is survived by his wife, lola M. (Bartlett) Feeley of Brewer; one son, John R. Feeley Jr. of Massena, N.Y.: two daughters, Mrs.

Donald (Karen) Grock of Las Vegas, and Miss Ann Feeley of Watertown, four grandsons and two granddaughters. Services and burial will be private. ARRINGTON APPLETON Jesse C. Ar- rington, 62, a carpenter, died unexpectedly March 14, 1984, at his home. He was born in Appleton a son of William B. and Inez C. (Crabtree) Arrington.

He was a member of the Appleton Historical Society, the Odd Fellows, Masons and the Appleton Grange. He is survived by a brother, Cecil G. Arrington of Union; a sister, Martha E. Moody of Montville; several cousins. A funeral will be held 2 p.m.

She was born in Columbia Falls, July 16, 1887, the daughter of Asa and Lucinda (Tibbetts) She was educated in Columbia Falls schools and was a graduate of Castine Normal School. She taught school in Addison and Columbia.

She was an attendent of Columbia Falls United Methodist Church and a member of the Union Grange No. 326, Columbia Falls. She is survived by one son, Keith C. Drisko of Columbia Falls; two doughters, Mrs. Frances Nickerson of Milbridge and Mrs.

Fred (Hughene) Hodgins of Columbia Falls; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, six great-greatgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a resident of Camden for most of her life and a former resident of Rockport. She had been an employee of Knox Wooien Camden. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Camden, and an active member of the Senior Citizens. She is sur. vived by one son, Donald L.

Young of Camden; a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Taylor of Gardiner; two brothers, Edward Marcello of Lincolnville and Robert Marcello of Smyrna, three sisters, Mrs. Edith O'Brien of Limerick and Mrs. Mable Harriman and Miss Ruth Marcello, both of Lewiston; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Buzzell, 96, died at a Caribou nursing home March 16, 1984. He was born in Woodland, Feb. 5, 1888. the son of Colby 0. and Mary (Thomas) Buzzell.

Mr. Buzzell was well known in the agricultural community of Aroostook. He was one of the founders of the Colby Co-op Starch Co. and served as director, president and was presently an honorary director. He was also a director of the Aroostook Federation of Farmers and was active in the sale of its products.

For many years, he and his wife, Bessie, were operators of a potato buying and shipping operation in Coribou. They took great pride in being the company to ship the first car of Aroostook potatos to market each season. He was an active member of the United Baptist Church of Caribou and served as deacon. He was a member of the building committee and WOS presently an honorary deacon. He was married to the late Bessie (Wiggins) Buzzell on June 18.

1913. He is survived by one son, Colby W. of Alta Loma, five daughters, Mrs. Galen (Margaret) Stevens of Lincoln and St. Cloud, Mrs.

Philip (Ruth) Goff of Apopka, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Peterson of New Sweden, Mrs. Wilbur (Elizabeth) Busley of Woodstown, N.J., and Mrs. Nevin (Irene) Lou of Winterpark, one brother, Chester Buzzell of Caribou: one sister, Mrs. Bessie Todd of Coventry, 19 grandchildren, 36 greatgrandchildren.

Navy in the Nuclear Submarine Program. David was a member of (the D.A.V. and a former member of the American Legion Post.
