1. How much does a nose job cost?

2. Is a nose correction reimbursed?
A nose job will only be reimbursed by your health insurer if there is a medical necessity. This is the case, for example, in the case of breathing problems or damage to the nose due to an accident or injury, which leads to deformation or functional limitations. If you decide to undergo a nose correction for aesthetic reasons, this will not be reimbursed by the health insurer.
3. Do I have to stay overnight after the operation?
No, after the operation you can go home the same day. You do not have to stay overnight in the Medical Center. However, you are not allowed to drive home yourself, so make sure someone comes to pick you up.
4. How long does recovery take after a nose job?
In general, recovery after a nose job is 6 weeks, but this varies from patient to patient. Usually, you can do almost everything again after the first 2 weeks, but with intensive sports, for example, you should wait a little longer.
The nose is healing for a year and has reached the final result after a year. Physically you are recovering for about 6 weeks, but the nose needs a longer period to heal completely. Fortunately, this does not hinder you in your daily activities; after 6 weeks you will have few to no limitations.

5. What are nasal tampons?
After the operation, the doctor places a ribbon tampon on each side of the nose, also called nasal tampons called. Nasal tampons are used after rhinoplasty to reduce bleeding, reduce swelling, provide internal support to the healing nasal structures, and prevent adhesions of the nasal mucosa.
The nasal tampons can cause sneezing fits. Our advice is to suppress the sneeze as much as possible. If this doesn't work, sneeze with your mouth open. This creates as little pressure as possible on the nose.
6. How long do I wear the nasal tampons?
The nasal tampons are usually removed the day after surgery. The exact day may vary, but you will always receive this appointment confirmation on the day of surgery. So you know in advance how long you will have to wear the nasal tampons.
7. How to sleep after a nose job?
During the first weeks after the operation, it may be helpful to sleep with your head a little higher, for example by placing two pillows under your head. This prevents engorgement. However, do you prefer to sleep flat or on your side? This is also possible. As long as you avoid sleeping on your stomach, your sleeping position will not affect your recovery.
8. When can I exercise again?
2 weeks after the nose job you can resume sports activities that require relatively little effort. This includes walking, stretching and cycling. However, keep in mind that you are recovering and that you listen to your body's signals.
Are you doing more intensive sports? Fitness, contact sports and ball sports are not recommended for the first 6 weeks. You can build this up after 6 weeks, at a leisurely pace.
9. When will I be presentable again?
In many patients, we can hardly see that he or she has had surgery in the face after 14 days. So you will be presentable again 2 weeks after the nose correction.
10. When will the final result be visible?
Within 3 to 4 months after the nose job, the nose will have started to form more and more and the final result will be visible. The real final result is achieved after one year, until then the nose is still healing.
