Its protein content comes from 10 different sources; ranging from fast, medium, to slow-digesting proteins, they provide you with a steady stream of amino acids to build your physique.

This improved formula of the Mutant Mass is what separates it from other mega mass gainers out there. It is real-food based, not just a bunch of chemicals and fillers mixed together and then packaged.

I personally loved the Coconut Cream flavor. It was a break from the regurgitating chocolate, vanilla, and other sugar-based flavors. This tasted natural to me. It was not too sweet nor sickly.


The improved Mutant Mass contains 52% less sugar than before. This tells me that they paid attention to actually making it taste gourmet, as it should, and not just sweet.
Overall, the flavor and texture of this mass gainer would make me want to buy it again. Some mass gainers have good content and bad flavor, others have good flavor but bad content. This has great flavor and great content – and that’s hard to beat.


At roughly $4 per 280g serving from its 5lb. bag, it is not expensive nor cheap. I think “reasonable” would be the right word to use for its price. Having taken a look at its macronutrient contents and sources, the Mutant Mass gives you good value for your money.

There is not much to complain about regarding Mutant Mass’ price. As I’ve said, it is reasonable and fairly priced.
