Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 268 is set to pick up where the electrifying events of the previous chapter left off, as the explosive battle between Yuji Itadori and Ryomen Sukuna continues to escalate.

The tension reached a fever pitch when Sukuna discovered his opponent’s end-game plan by giving him the good ole bait and switch.

As Yuji gained the upper hand, the battle peaked dramatically, only further intensified by the shocking return of a sorcerer long presumed dead.

With just four chapters remaining in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, many mysteries still linger, leaving much to be resolved in the final stretch of the series.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267 recap

The chapter began with a flashback of Yuta Okkotsu and Satoru Gojo discussing how to defeat Sukuna once and for all. While training, Yuta and Gojo practice Kenjaku’s body-stealing cursed technique, temporarily allowing Yuta to inhabit Gojo’s body and vice versa. Yuta had requested Sukuna’s final cursed object—the King of Curse’s 20th finger.

Gojo had kept Sukuna’s final finger safe. Yuta intended to have Rika consume the finger, hoping to copy it and use Sukuna’s Domain Expansion, Malevolent Shrine, against the King of Curses.

However, Gojo explained that such conditions would only be temporary. To copy a powerful cursed technique, the user must consume an essential part of the sorcerer. Furthermore, if the original sorcerer used a reverse cursed technique, the strength of the copied ability would weaken.

The scene then shifted to Yuta explaining his copy technique to Yuji. Being careful not to reveal too much, Yuta suspected that Yuji might still have some connection to Sukuna because of the long period when the two shared the same body.

Yuta also revealed that Yuji’s ability to use Sukuna’s techniques resulted from this resonance, which Gojo confirmed with his Six Eyes.

Sukuna then realized that his opponents had been bluffing all along—they didn’t have his final finger, but Yuji’s. However, because of the resonance between them, they were able to use Yuji’s finger to exploit Sukuna’s power against him.

Meanwhile, Kyoto Jujutsu High faculty members Yoshinobu Gakuganji and Utahime Iori revealed they had been monitoring Yuji’s cursed energy and waiting for Nobara Kugisaki’s recovery. To everyone’s surprise, Nobara had survived her encounter with Mahito during the Shibuya Incident.

Nobara had been presumed dead after Mahito used his Idle Transfiguration technique on her. Although the manga hadn’t provided specifics of her recovery, Jujutsu High kept her safe and treated her with cursed technique healers Shoko Ieiri and Arata Nitta.

Having awakened from her injuries less than an hour before, Nobara used her Straw Doll technique to injure Sukuna, preventing him from activating his Domain Expansion. This created the perfect opening for Yuji to land a series of clean hits.

As Yuji and Sukuna exchanged blows, the King of Curses first stepped back, allowing Yuji to unleash a devastating Black Flash, which concluded chapter 267.
