Google Ventures is a good project works as venture capital on the web. As for seed funding, Google Ventures does have the promise for future if they extend more. Even if you are not sure of the terminologies like venture capital or seed money, try to uncomfortably read this article because even if Google Ventures is not for you, you might get some idea for making money.

Google Ventures and Venture Capital

There three categories of people on the Internet. First category is pure consumer, they will never give any input. You can take them as an average buyer of a real physical shop. They usually studies, then do a job, get retired and dies. This is typical profile of over 50% of the society.

Second category are cheaters. Number of cheaters are not less in real World and on Internet. The third category is composed of the peoples who has good ideas. The main problem is that, those who have good ideas, usually do not have much money at the beginning to make the idea converted to a real business. You can just think of Bill Gates or Larry Page, how they started to understand it retrospectively. Most big brands never starts with a big fund or by a very rich person.

Venture capital, earlier known asdevelopment capital is just a kick starting capital, it might be raw cash or resources from bigger company understanding this new idea can be materialized although it has high risks to get fail. The difference between the brands who invests through Venture Capital and a Bank Loan is that – Banks usually never take risks where there is a scent ofhigh risk. Moreover a Bank can not provide thoughts.

Google Ventures is such a brand for Venture Capital. For example, I have an idea about telerobotics. I have some money to make it realized but I do not know about how to approach the market. This is where Google Ventures can work to make my idea to be realized. Google Ventures, for example, can help me on web designing, that is an indirect help or can call another brand which has some experience on medical robotics.

Plus and Minus points of Google Ventures

Google Ventures is not so old and I personally have no first hand experience with Google Ventures to point any minus point. Regular readers are aware that I criticize in quite harsh language regardless of how big or small is the brand. The probable minus point is, to me it seems that the official website of Google Ventures still lacks information to convey to the interested segment.

Plus points for Google Ventures are countless, that is the reason I have said “Google Ventures can be a Recipe for Success if Extended”. If extended – this is the biggest point forGoogle Ventures. Microsoft does have similar but a bit diverted sets of instruments, but the way to get in is more easier thanGoogle Ventures, although they can not be compared directly.
